Description

Home Farmhouse is a late 17th and early 18th century farmhouse located on Church Lane in Wendlebury. The building is constructed from limestone rubble with wooden lintels, and has a plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. Originally a two-unit plan, it later incorporated rear wings. The farmhouse is two storeys high with a hipped attic. The front facade has a panelled door positioned to the right of the centre, with three three-light casement windows on the first floor and wider casement windows flanking the entrance. The ends feature a large stone chimney projection with a rectangular bread-oven projection to the left. The rear of the house has two low wings and a 20th-century linking section. The interior is reported to contain some decorative plasterwork on the first floor, though it has not been inspected.
