Description

No. 6 London Road is a public house, now part of a hotel, likely dating from the 18th century. The building features part-rendered limestone rubble with some brick dressings, and it has plain-tile and Welsh-slate roofs with brick end stacks. It is designed in an L-plan and stands two storeys tall. The front elevation, which faces the road, has a rendered two-window layout with 12-pane sash windows and a pedimented 20th-century doorcase that interrupts the storey band. The rear wing, which angles away from the left side of the main range, also has a two-window arrangement with 12-pane sashes on the first floor and 20th-century casements below. The rear and end walls of the wing are constructed of rubble with brick dressings. The interior has not been inspected.
