Description

TADMARTON MAIN STREET SP33NE (South side) 2/103 Chest Tomb to Robert Aus(tin). Approx 2 metres east of Chancel of Church of Saint GV II Chest tomb. C17. Ironstone. Panelled sides have Ionic columns and decorative panels with inscriptions. Decoration includes scrolls and foliage. Thick stone slab has hollow chamfers. Inscription: Mr Robert Aus(tin) of this parish, gentleman who departed this life (?) Anno Domini 1665.
