Description

Rectory Farm Cottage is a late 17th and early 18th century cottage, extended in the 20th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble with squared quoins and wooden lintels, and has a thatched roof with a rubble and brick gable stack. The cottage has a one- or two-unit plan and a single storey plus attic. The front has a two-window arrangement, with small, renewed casement windows at ground floor level and in dormers. A 20th century stone porch is located on the right-hand side. The left gable wall features a rounded thatched bread-oven projection, and the base of the stack is made of rubble. A rear extension is also present. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included on the list for its group value.
