Description

The war memorial, located approximately 15 metres northwest of the Church of St. Edburg, was constructed around 1918, with its inscription altered around 1945. Made of limestone, it features a tapering octagonal shaft with broach stops that rises from a square base with a moulded top. This base rests on an octagonal three-step plinth, where the lowest step serves as a seat and bears a commemorative inscription. The memorial is elaborately carved, showcasing representations of the Crucifixion and the Virgin and Child on the gabled sides, and St. George and a bishop on the lesser sides. It is included for its group value.
