5/404 Dix headstone approx 7m south of the nave of the Old Church of St Peter GV II

Headstone. Dated 1783 in memory of Mary Dix. Upright sandstone slab standing approx 1.75m high. Its shaped head is enriched with carved scrolls around an oval panel carved with a winged hourglass with a skull above and fronds below. The inscription is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering including some italics and it records the death of Mary Dix in 1783.
