Description
Hague Cottages, located on Coldharbour Road in Iden Green, is a house that was originally three cottages. It features an 18th-century front that has been added to a timber-framed building dating back to the 16th century or earlier. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the first floor is weatherboarded at the front and tile hung on the side elevation, with some curved tiles present. The roof is tiled and half-hipped to the left, featuring an off-central brick ridge stack and an external 16th-century brick stack on the right side. The building has two storeys and attics in the gable end, with four windows that are casements showing some traces of diamond mullions. There are two doorcases with flat wooden hoods supported by brackets. The right-hand side elevation is jettied. Although the interior has not been inspected, curved braces and a 16th-century three-plank door to the upper storey can be seen from the exterior.
