Description

The Pump House, built in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, is a square structure featuring a base of stone rubble and a timber-framed superstructure. The superstructure has curved braces and a pyramidal tiled roof, which is topped with an elaborate metal finial adorned with a floral design. In the center of the building is an octagonal wooden pump set on a stone base, which includes a ball finial and a bronze spout, although the pump handle is missing. The base of the pump is inscribed with "1837 VICTORIA 1897".
