Description
Floral Cottage is a house that underwent refronting in the early 19th century, likely based on a building from the 17th century. The ground floor is rendered, while the first floor is tile hung, with exposed red brick mainly visible on the stacks and the return elevations at the rear. The roof is plain tiled. The structure consists of two parallel ranges. The front range is two stories high, featuring stacks at both the right and left ends, with the offset visible in the return wall. There are two 3-light metal casements on each floor and a central boarded door topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. To the left of the front range is a 20th-century brick and glazed conservatory. The rear range has a large offset and a truncated end stack, with a hipped roof and irregularly placed wooden casements and a boarded door.
