Description
Little Foxbush is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century but was refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick, with the front elevation painted white, while the right side is tile-hung on the first floor. The house has a slate roof and brick chimney stacks.
The building faces south onto Noble Tree Road and has a layout that is two rooms wide with a central entrance, featuring a double-depth plan and two stacks at each end. The large stack at the right (east) end suggests that there may be an earlier core to the house.
It stands two storeys tall with a hipped slate roof that has deep eaves supported by paired brackets. The symmetrical front has three bays, including a central gabled porch with a 20th-century glazed front door, and features three 16-pane sash windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, which are likely from the early 19th century. The right end stack has tall, paired, handmade brick shafts.
The interior was not accessible during the survey in 1988, but it may still contain interesting features.
