Description

Howes Cottages are a pair of cottages dated 1837, located on the east side of Talbot Road, Hawkhurst. They are timber-framed with weatherboarding and have a slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a central stack. There are two wooden casement windows on each floor, and panelled doors are positioned to the left and right. A datestone is set into the stack, inscribed with "R H 1837." The cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
