Description
Oak Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is timber framed and weather-boarded, featuring tile hanging on the return elevation and a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a moulded wooden eaves cornice at the roof, which is half-hipped to the right. There are stacks located at the rear right and a projecting stack that is twice offset at the end left. On each floor, there are two 3-light wooden casements, with the larger ones positioned to the left. A boarded door is located to the centre left, framed by a moulded architrave and topped with a cornice-hood supported by brackets. There are small lean-to outshots on both the left and right sides, as well as a catslide outshot at the rear.
