Description

Nos 1 to 3 Northgrove Terrace is a row of early 19th-century buildings on Highgate, Hawkhurst. The terrace is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with a basement, and features a hipped roof and stacks on the left and right sides. Each floor has four sash windows with glazing bars. The front doors are six-panel affairs, positioned to the right, centre, and left. A recessed, panelled door is located on the left return, within a two-storey, flat-roofed extension, accessed by a flight of six steps. This extension also features side rails and a railing to the roadside, both incorporating fleur-de-lys finials. These are set within brick piers with ramped brick side walls that return to the main building.
