Description

The Weller headstone, dated 1715, is located approximately 3 meters south-west of the tower of the Old Church of St Peter in Pembury. This headstone is an upright sandstone slab that stands about 400 millimeters high and features a curvilinear-shaped head. The front of the headstone is recessed and includes crossbones inscribed at the top. The inscription, written in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, commemorates the death of Thomas Weller in 1715.
