Description
Trenley’s Farmhouse, now a house, dates to the late 16th or early 17th century, although it was re-clad in the 18th century. The building is timber-framed with a red brick plinth and weatherboarded cladding. It has a plain tiled roof, half-hipped on the left and hipped on the right, and a tall central brick ridge stack. The farmhouse is arranged on a baffle-entry plan, with two storeys and an irregular three-window front. This front features large casement windows, with a small setback above the door. A panelled door is protected by a shallow flat hood supported by brackets. A wing at the rear, to the right, is two storeys high with two windows and casement glazing.
