Description
This is an oasthouse located about 30 metres north of Spelmonden, dating from the early 19th century, with likely earlier stowage. The building features a timber-framed and weather-boarded stowage, along with red brick roundels topped with plain tiled roofs. It has a double range stowage, with each wing consisting of two storeys and a half-hipped roof that slopes down to the front. Each first floor has a wooden casement window, and there is a loft door to the left. On the ground floor, there are cart doors to the left and a half-glazed door with a wooden casement to the right. A catslide outshot extends to the left. The higher gabled rear ranges are connected to the rear roundels, and there is a tiled gantry to the right. Five roundels are arranged around the stowage, each with a plinth, corbelled eaves, intact cowls and winding vanes, and double boarded doors on the ground floor. There is a small blank recess on the right end roundel, which may have been intended for a date plaque.
