Description
This is an oasthouse built in the early 19th century, located about 15 metres northeast of Kirkins Farmhouse. It features a red brick structure with a plain tiled roof. The oast range includes a single-storey stowage area and a roundel, which has been truncated and has a hipped roof that steps up to the right from the stowage. There is a cart doorway in the stowage and a pedestrian doorway in the roundel.
To the left, there is a two-storey block with a hipped roof, which includes a loft door and a metal casement window on the first floor, along with a wooden casement window on the ground floor. The block also has cart doors on the left return hip end. A wall approximately 6 feet high connects this block to the farmhouse, separated by a segmentally beaded boarded door. There is a lean-to attached to the rear of the wall. This structure is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
