Description

This is an oasthouse located about 50 metres south of Spray Hill Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, standing on a sandstone base with a plain tiled roof and a red brick roundel. The stowage has lofted end bays and a half-hipped roof, with a lean-to outshot on the right side. The ground floor is open and arcaded, supported by curved braced main posts. There are full-height double cart doors to the centre right, a shuttered loft opening on the right return, and a boarded loft door on the left return, accessible by a flight of wooden stairs. The roundel at the rear left has corbelled eaves and a cowl, which still has its winding vane intact.
