Description
Church Lodge is a lodge house built in the mid-19th century, with an extension added in the mid-20th century. It features a red and blue chequered brick construction with ashlar dressings, and the extension is made of red brick. The building has a slate roof and is a single storey high, with quoins at the corners and a hipped roof that has stacks on both the left and right sides.
The windows are pointed arched leaded wooden casements, with raised keyed and quoined surrounds, positioned to the left and right of a central ribbed and studded door. This door is set within a gabled, half-timbered porch that includes an arched sidelight. The return elevations also have similar arched windows. At the rear left, there is an extension that features metal casements and a boarded door.
