Description
South View and Tylers Cottage is a house, now subdivided, that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It features a timber-framed lobby entrance and was refaced in the 18th century, with windows updated in the 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the first floor is hung with alternating bands of plain and fishscale tiles. The roof is tiled, hipped to the left with a gablet, and gable ended to the right, where there is a late 16th-century cruciform brick stack and an external stack on the right side. The building has two storeys and three windows, which are 20th-century lattice casements. There is a paired doorcase with joint flat hood eaves and a pentice on the left side.
