Description

Sunnyside is an 18th-century house located off Rye Road in Sandhurst. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with grey brick headers, while the first floor is hung with alternating courses of plain and curved tiles. A tiled roof is hipped at one end, with two brick chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and attics, and originally had three windows. It now features 20th-century casement windows and a gabled weather porch. An L-shaped wing constructed of brick dates to the 19th century. The interior includes an open fireplace with a salt niche, and an early 19th-century cupboard with serpentine shelves. Some doors are likely reused from the early 17th century.
