Description

Two houses, Broad Oak House and Oak View, were built in the early to mid-19th century. Broad Oak House has a ground floor of red brick with grey headers and a weatherboarded first floor. It has a hipped slate roof with brick chimneystacks. The house has two storeys and three windows. The first floor has 12-pane sashes, while the ground floor has 16-pane sashes. A central doorcase features pilasters and a six-panelled door. Oak View is divided into two portions. The left-hand portion mirrors Broad Oak House with a red brick ground floor and weatherboarded first floor, topped with a hipped slate roof. The right-hand portion has a rendered ground floor and a weatherboarded first floor, with a hipped tiled roof and brick chimneystacks. This portion features two windows, mainly with 16-pane sashes, and a doorcase with a flat hood.
