Description

No. 5 Waterloo Road is an 18th-century cottage that features a timber frame and weatherboarding on a brick plinth. The ground floor to the left has been rebuilt in yellow stock brick. The cottage has a parapet that conceals a plain tiled roof, which includes a brick stack on the rear wing. It is two storeys high with a slightly irregular front that has two window openings. The windows are glazing bar sashes with open boxes, except for a mid-19th century shop front on the right side of the ground floor, which has a bracketed hood. There is a boarded and ribbed door located to the left of centre, accessed by two steps. This building is included for its group value.
