Description

No 2 is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates back to the 16th century, with 19th-century elevations and alterations. The building is timber-framed and has rendered cladding on the first floor. It features a plain tiled roof, which includes a very large rebuilt brick chimney stack at the right end and a tapering stack on the rear wing to the left. The structure is two storeys high and has two pairs of mid-19th-century glazing bar sash windows on the first floor. The shop front, also from the mid-19th century, is wide and includes two central doors that are two-thirds glazed, with projecting wide hexagonal bays on either side.
