Description
Bowling Green Cottage is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with additions from the 18th century and extensions made in the 20th century. The structure is timber-framed and features red brick cladding on the ground floor, with some exposed framing and brick infilling to the right on the ground floor. The first floor is tile-hung. The roof is plain tiled, with a twin span design that is gabled at the front and half hipped at the rear, projecting to the left at the back. There is a semi-dormer to the left at the front, supported by a jetty, and a tall brick ridge stack to the left. The building has two storeys with irregular fenestration, including one window on the first floor to the right, the semi-dormer to the left, and four windows on the ground floor, which include some 19th-century casements. There are boarded doors located to the right and at the left-hand end of the cottage.
