Description
This barn, located about 50 metres east of Grantham Hall Cottages, dates from around 1600. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather boarded, featuring red brick on the return ground floors. The roof is half-hipped, with the hip on the left side being notably larger, and both sides have gablets. There is a hipped midstrey positioned to the centre left, which is matched at the rear, along with boarded doors to the right and immediately to the left of the midstrey. A boarded loft door and a casement window can be found on the left return. Inside, the barn consists of four bays with aisles, supported by heavily arched braced main posts that hold up a renewed queen strut roof. The left end bay is lofted, but this does not include the aisles.
