Description

A barn, dating from the 16th century, is located at Grange Farm. The barn is timber-framed with brick infill, a plinth, and an old tile roof. It has five bays, featuring a cart entry in the left bay, a slat window in the second bay, and a stable door to the left of the centre. A 20th-century lean-to cartshed extends across the front of the right bays. The interior is notable for its massive queen post trusses and ogee wind-braces.

Attached to the right end is a late 18th- to early 19th-century brick block constructed with a chequered brick appearance, a moulded plinth, a band course, and eaves, topped with a half-hipped old tile roof. This block is two storeys high and two bays wide, with barred wooden casements set in segmental heads on the upper floor. Other outbuildings attached to the left and rear of the barn are not of particular architectural interest.
