Description

This is a house, dating to the 17th century with three original bays. The front facade has been rebuilt, while the original timber framing remains in the rear and side walls. The front wall is now brick, covered with colourwashed roughcast, with pilasters marking the ends and centre. The roof is tiled and hipped, with two brick chimneys near the ridge. The house is two storeys high with an attic, presenting three bays plus a narrow extension to the right and a conservatory to the left. Windows are 20th-century wooden casements with segmental heads on the ground floor. The attic has two skylights and two dormers. The front entrance is a 20th-century door in the centre of the facade, with a flat hood on brackets; another door is located between the original left bays, which also features a flat hood on brackets. Inside, the ground floor retains deeply chamfered spine beams and curved wind-braces are visible in the central attic room.
