Description
No. 24 North End Road is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and a rubble stone plinth. The right bay has whitewashed rubble stone on both the front and gable walls. The roof is covered with 20th-century tiles, and there is a thin brick chimney between the left bays, along with a later brick chimney on the right. The house is one storey high with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are irregular 20th-century metal casements, with those on the upper floor located in gabled dormers along the eaves line. There is a 20th-century door in a gabled whitewashed brick porch between the left bays, and another 20th-century glazed door between the right bays. At the rear, there is a lean-to that has a slight timber frame, with some sections featuring whitewashed brick infill and others covered in weatherboarding. Inside, the house displays diagonal braces in the framing and diagonal wind-braces.
