Description
Winwood Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered. It features a timber frame with brick infill in the gables and part of the rear, while the remainder has been rebuilt in brick, with some areas rendered and whitewashed. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a chimney made of thin brick located between the left bays. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays.
On the ground floor, there are four three-light barred wooden casements with segmental heads, and paired barred wooden casements on the first floor, with part of the front having raised eaves. The house has 20th-century doors to the left and center, with the central door situated below a 20th-century half-timbered projection that jetties on posts. There is also a 20th-century extension at the rear of the left bay.
Inside, the cottage has heavy framing in the partition walls and stop-chamfered lintels above the fireplaces.
