Description

Grange Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, significantly altered in the 18th and early 19th centuries. The structure combines timber framing with brick infill, with most of the house rebuilt in brick. The south front features dentil eaves. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a large external chimney stack of 18th-century chequer brick at the west end. The house has two storeys and originally comprised three bays, with later 19th and 20th-century extensions projecting to the right and outbuildings attached to the rear. The south front displays irregular wooden casements, a central 20th-century door, and another similar door in a projection to the right. The north front reveals one original bay, featuring a half-hipped gable and moulded bargeboards. Inside, one room has chamfered cross beams and a winder stair.
