Description

Two headstones and five bodystones are located about 21 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of All Saints. These memorials date from the late 18th century and early 19th century and are made of freestone. The headstone on the west features a central oval panel at the top, flanked by scrolled decoration, and commemorates Stephen Monckton, who died in 1783, along with other family members. The eastern headstone has a scrolled, moulded head and commemorates Mary Monckton, who died in 1833. These memorials are part of a notable group of Monckton memorials.
