Description

The Drinking Fountain is a drinking fountain built in 1911 to commemorate the coronation of George V. It is made of freestone and features a gabled stone structure that is rectangular in shape, with stone coping on the gable. On the south side, there is a small bowl that projects out, with an arched recess above it inscribed with "1911 erected in coronation year." The fountain is located in a small green at the east end of the High Street, directly opposite the entrance to the church. It serves as a piece of historic street furniture in this notable village.
