Description

A group of three churchyard memorials located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds.

MON 275 is a headstone from 1811 made of Ketton stone, featuring an incomplete inscription that reads "Who died Sept. 26th 1811." It is adorned with a winged angel head, skulls in the corners, and drapes around the inscription panel.

MON 276 is a headstone from 1799, also made of Ketton stone, dedicated to Thomas Nunn and featuring a winged angel head.

MON 277 is a headstone from 1786, made of Ketton stone, commemorating Sarah, the wife of Thomas Nunn. It displays a bold draped skull and a bellied cartouche. This information is based on a survey of monuments in the Great Churchyard conducted around 1960 by West Suffolk County Council.
