Description

A pair of churchyard monuments located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds. The first monument, known as MON 186, is a headstone dating from 1710 or 1719, made of Ketton stone, featuring a skull and the date. The second monument, MON 187, is also a headstone from the 18th century, crafted from Ketton stone, and displays a draped skull that is very worn. This information is based on a survey of monuments in the Great Churchyard conducted around 1960 by West Suffolk County Council.
