Description

This is an oasthouse located about 100 meters north-east of Matfield House, likely built in the mid to late 19th century, with some alterations in the 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of Flemish bond brick, while the first floor is weatherboarded, and it features brick kilns topped with peg-tile roofs.

The oasthouse has a two-storey stowage area with a gabled roof, oriented on an east-west axis. The south elevation includes two sets of paired plank doors on the left, with the left pair featuring strap hinges. To the right, there is a plank door with a segmental arched head and a two-light late 19th or 20th-century casement window to the left. The upper floor has left and right casement windows from the 19th or 20th century and a centrally located plank loft door. The north elevation features three ground floor casement windows from the 19th or 20th century and a barred segmental-headed opening. There is one two-light casement window on the first floor and two additional first floor windows at the west end, one of which has a slatted opening.

The three circular kilns have conical roofs with brick cogging below the eaves and timber cowls. The two southern kilns each have one ground floor top-hung casement window, while the northernmost kiln has a single-light window from the 19th or 20th century. The interior was not inspected.
