Description
Manor Farm Oast is an oasthouse built in the 1860s. It is constructed of yellow Flemish bond brick and features tiled roofs. The building is oriented on a west-east axis, with one circular kiln at the east end and a second, possibly later, kiln on the north side. Both kilns have conical peg tiled roofs and lack cowls or fantails. The structure includes a moulded brick cornice and cambered window openings. The stowage area is particularly attractive, likely due to its proximity to the Manor House, and consists of five bays. The central three bays are recessed on the south side, featuring deep eaves and a concrete platband with sunk panels. There are three blocked arches in the centre on the ground floor, and three first-floor windows set in a round-headed recess. The outer bays have double doors on the south side, with Diocletian windows above. There are steps leading to a first-floor doorway on the east return of the stowage. The rear elevation is overgrown, but sash windows are visible. Inside, the oasthouse has a scissor-braced roof.
