Description

The Old Parsonage is a house, formerly the Rectory to All Saints Church in Frindsbury, dating to circa 1700. The building is constructed of painted stucco render over brick, with a tiled gable-end roof. It comprises a main range with end stacks and a rear outshut. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The front elevation has a symmetrical arrangement of four windows, with two hipped dormers featuring Yorkshire sash windows. A deep wooden modillion eaves cornice with a moulded frieze runs along the top of the front. All windows are set under flat arches and contain 12-pane sashes in revealed frames. The central doorway is topped by a canopy supported on shaped brackets, and leads to a four-panel fielded door with a rectangular overlight. The side returns have coped gables and kneelers. The rear elevation includes a substantial two-window, storeyed range with sashes throughout. Inside, the outshut staircase features a moulded string and replaced balusters.
