Description
Mount Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century or earlier and was refronted in the early 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure clad in weatherboarding, topped with a hipped tiled roof and a tall brick chimneystack. The left side of the building jetties out and has a plastered base. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows, which are 19th-century casement windows, along with a porch from the 10th century that has a penticed roof.
Inside, the dining room includes an open fireplace and a three-plank door. The kitchen retains an old window with diamond mullions. The staircase has five solid oak treads and a winder staircase above, featuring a 17th-century newel post. The building has jowled posts, and a first-floor room showcases complete pargetted wall decoration. There is also a shutter groove remaining in the framing of the right side end wall.
