Description

Maplesden is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, located on Stepneyford Lane in Benenden. The building features ground floor brickwork in Flemish bond with grey headers set on a tall plinth, while the first floor is tile hung. It has a half-hipped tiled roof with an off-central brick chimney stack. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and has two windows on the main front, along with an L-wing that is three storeys tall with two windows. The windows are tripartite sashes with glazing bars. There is a central doorcase topped with a flat wooden weather hood, leading to a six-fielded panelled door. At the rear, there is a catslide roof.
