Description

No 132 on The Rocks Road is a house that was originally a hall house, built in the early 16th century. The exterior is rendered and constructed on a timber frame, topped with a steep plain tiled roof that is hipped and features a gablet on the right side. The building has two storeys and an irregular arrangement of five windows. There is a central door that has a flat projecting hood above it. Inside, there is a timber-framed smoke bay with a later brick chimney added, and a staircase with solid treads that likely dates from the 17th century. The original roof structure includes side purlins and straight wind braces.
