Nos. 42 and 44 on High Street is an office and shop housed in a timber-framed building that dates back to the 17th century or earlier. The exterior was refronted in the early 19th century with brickwork laid in Flemish bond and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and includes four windows. The right side gable has a casement window, while the front displays four 19th-century casements and two 20th-century shopfronts. Inside, there is a brick inglenook fireplace with a wooden bressumer.
