Description

Rose Farmhouse is an 18th-century cottage located on Taylor’s Lane in Trottiscliffe. The building is constructed of red brick, with blue headers defining the pattern on a deep plinth of random rubble stone. It has a plain tiled roof with a projecting stack at the right-hand end and a smaller stack on the left. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with a cellar below, and features a regular two-window front. It has wooden casement windows, those on the ground floor having segmental heads. A central 19th-century door is half-glazed and panelled, and has a 20th-century sloping hood supported by brackets. A small cellar window is located on the left-hand side.
