Description

This row of cottages, known as Tudor Cottage, Oakley Cottage, and Oak Cottage, dates from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. The building is L-shaped and features a south side constructed of random rubble and red brick, used irregularly. It has a plain tiled roof with a hipped return wing at the right-hand end. There are two dormers close together on the left side and a central ridge stack. The structure is two storeys high, with an irregular arrangement of four windows on the first floor and five casement windows on the ground floor. The ground floor includes two boarded doors, one with one window to the right and one with two windows to the right.

On the east side, there is exposed square framing with rendered infilling on a random rubble stone plinth, featuring some curved braces. The first floor has a jetty on the right-hand return side, supported by joists and corner brackets. The steep hipped tiled roof has gablets and an off-ridge stack positioned left of centre. The east side is two storeys high with an irregular two-window front and casements, along with a boarded door left of centre. The rear (north) side also shows some exposed framing.
