Description

Fourways House is a house dated 1751, constructed from coursed and galletted ironstone with cement quoins, white stone bands, and red brick window dressings. It features a moulded eaves cornice beneath a plain tiled roof, which has gable parapets and two hipped dormers at either end. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and has a symmetrical front with three window openings, all fitted with glazing bar sashes. The central entrance consists of a panelled door topped by a wreathed radiating fanlight, set within a 19th-century doorcase that has ornamental plaster console brackets supporting a moulded entablature hood.
