Description

This is a row of cottages located on the south side of Sevenoaks Road in Borough Green. The structure dates to the 17th century, with a later 18th-century front. The right-hand portion shows a 17th-century timber frame. The front facade is of coursed rubble stone with red brick dressings on the ground floor, and tile hanging above. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in plain tiles, with the ridge stepping to the right of centre, the right-hand portion of the roof being slightly higher than the left. There are two storeys off-ridge to the right, and one storey off-ridge to the rear, with a total of five windows, arranged irregularly. The ground-floor windows are casements set in segment-headed openings; the window at the left-hand entrance has been replaced by a 20th-century shop front. There are three doors, one located two windows from the right, and a pair of doors two windows from the left. The doors are boarded and have small, sloping hoods supported by brackets.
