Description

This is a terrace row of four houses dating from the 1830s. They are built of stock brick with slate and interlocking tiled roofs. Each house has two storeys and a basement. Each floor has a glazing bar sash window. The entrances feature reeded and panelled doors, approached by flights of five steps. Simple iron railings run along the front, ramped to the steps and with dog rails to the basement areas. Number 23 has replacement windows from the late 20th century. Number 25 has metal casement windows and a late 19th-century shop front to the basement, incorporating pilasters, fascia, cornice and a glazed door. Number 29 has an unusually high, steeply pitched, double-span roof with stacks positioned to the left and right.
