Description

This is a short terrace of three houses, likely built around 1830 to 1840. The fronts are rendered, with painted brick visible on the right-hand gable, and the roofs are slate. Each house has a service wing at the rear. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement, and retain their original six-pane sash windows, set in reveals and stone sills. A decorative oriel window, with an eight, twelve, and eight-pane arrangement, sits above the first floor, featuring a dentil cornice. The ground floor windows are twelve-pane sashes, and the front doors have twelve panels, with a plain fanlight above (although the door at number 2 has been replaced with a 20th-century version). The doors are accessed by two or three stone steps. A moulded cornice runs along the top of the building, topped with a blocking course rather than a coping, and there are three ridge stacks. The left return has a paired sash window at first floor level, while the right return has two 20th-century windows and a blocked doorway, along with a lower service wing containing glazing-bar sashes. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Number 1 and 3 have spearhead-pattern area railings with gates and returned ends.
