Description

This is a pair of cottages dating to the 17th century and altered in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of flint, with a painted brick ground floor. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The cottages are two storeys and have an attic, built upon a plinth with a plat band that is raised to the right and in a doubled brick course. The gables have kneelers and incorporate two hipped dormers, with stacks located at each end. The first floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows. The ground floor has a three-light wooden casement to the left and a horizontally sliding sash window in a segmental surround to the right. There is a panelled door in a segmental surround on the right, and a door of two moulded panels to the left. Two kneelered gable wings are located to the rear of the cottages, partially rebuilt and featuring a catslide roof.
