Description

RAMSGATE PEGWELL ROAD TR 3664 SW (south side) 15/307 Pegwell Inn GV II Public house. Mid C19, altered 1896. Rendered. Single storey on plinth to road front with entablature, cornice and parapet with stacks to end left and to end right. Road front canted forward to right (following road alignment). Four sashes with boarded door to left and 2 panelled doors to centre right, all in moulded surrounds. Sea front, extended down cliff face to form 3 storeys with arcaded ground floor, with quoins to terrace roofs. Glazing bar sashes, with 3 bay central range. Sometime annexed to the W.M. C.I.U. Convalescent Home, and finished with similar details. Included for group value. (Busson, Ramsgate, 134; Mirams, Ramsgate's Old Pubs, 42).
